TRAFFIC INCIDENT MONITORING
Description
Traffic Incident Monitoring takes reports of traffic incidents like for example road works, and verifies them against current traffic. Backed by a trust and reputation database, road closures and delays are reported to SPITS on-board units.
Objectives
The objective of this product is to obtain report of traffic incidents, verify them against current traffic, and send the report to SPITS on-board units via a trust and reputation database.

Project Outcomes
The product with a working HMI and model has been demonstrated for use. Currently Google Maps and Waze have an application in place, but several users report inaccuracies.
Limitations

Will require a good amount of convincing for potential users to switch from popular, free apps like Waze or Google Maps
